HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 03061990 - 1.57 ;7 TO: BOARD OF SUPERVISORS Contra FROM: PHIL BATCHELOR �- Costa County Administrator o: County DATE: February 28, 1990 -- o ••tT SUBJECT: EAST DIABLO FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT SURPLUS PROPERTY TRANSFER Specific Request(s) or Recommendations(s) & Background & Justification RECOMMENDATION• Declare East Diablo Fire Protection District vehicle #537 (1965 Dodge pickup truck) as surplus to the needs of the District and the County and authorize transfer of the vehicle to the Brentwood, Byron, Knightsen Cemetery District. FINANCIAL IMPACT: Potential loss of a minimal amount of revenue that would be realized if the vehicle were sold at auction.- REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATION/BACKGROUND: In 1989 the subject vehicle was replaced by a new vehicle and became surplus to the District. The vehicle was offered to other fire agencies and the County but no one expressed a need for the vehicle. The Cemetery District became aware of the vehicle and indicated that it could use the vehicle but that it had no funds to purchase it. Accordingly, it is proposed that the vehicle be transferred to the Cemetery District.
