Mm (10/88) BY '^ JOd DEPUTY
During the past year, the Sheriff's Department received at least
five complaints of loud music from the establishment of Shorty's
Bar & Patio. The Sheriff's Department Patrol Division did
respond and deal with each situation. At each of these loud
music contacts, the music was lowered, and the establishment
personnel were cooperative with the Deputies.
Sinee the last incident on 12/30/89, the Sheriff's Department has
not received any complaints of loud music.
As a result of these complaints, Mr. Stetler constructed a fully
enclosed insulated area where bands perform; further, Mr. Stetler
offered to limit the playing of music to the times proposed. .
Mr. Stetler understands the Sheriff is recommending conditions
that will limit the playing of music, as a condition on his
cardroom license.
FINANCIAL IMPLICATION
The County collects $500. 00 application fee and $500. 00 license
fee for one table.
