SUBJECT: Conveyance of Easement to Town of Danville
Crossing Former Southern Pacific Right of Way
W. O. No. 5575
Danville Area
The Board of Supervisors of Contra Costa County RESOLVES THAT:
Contra Costa County acquired certain real property known as the former Southern
Pacific Railroad Right of Way in December, 1986, in the Danville area, for future
transportation purposes. The Town of Danville has requested an easement over a portion
of said property, described in Exhibit"A" attached hereto, for access to a proposed Park-
and-Ride facility. This Board FINDS that the conveyance of such easement is in the
public interest and will not substantially conflict or interfere with the County's use of the
property.
This Board hereby APPROVES and AUTHORIZES the conveyance of an
easement to the Town of Danville, over the property described in Exhibit "A" attached
hereto, pursuant to Government Code Section 25526.6 and the Board Chair is hereby
AUTHORIZED to execute a Grant of Easement on behalf of the County.
The Real Property Division is DIRECTED to cause said Grant of Easement to be
delivered to the grantee.
The Board hereby FINDS that the project will not have a significant effect on the
environment, and DETERMINES that the project is exempt from the requirements of the
California Environmental Quality Act as a Class 12 Categorical Exemption under County
Guidelines and Section 15312 of the State CEQA Guidelines, and DIRECTS the Public
Works Director to file a Notice of Exemption with the County Clerk. This activity has been
found to conform to the General Plan of the Town of Danville.

Exhibit "A"
A portion of the Rancho San Ramon, Town of Danville, Contra Costa
County, California described as follows:
Commencing at the most easterly corner of PARCEL ONE as described in
the deed to Sasha Maloff recorded October 15, 1986, in Book 13194 of
Official Records at page 118, records of Contra Costa County, said point
of commencement also being on the southwesterly right of way line of the
old Southern Pacific Railroad right of way; thence northwesterly along said
right of way line and the easterly line of said Maloff parcel (13194 OR 118)
north 290 44' 09" west 605.05 feet to the Point of Beginning; thence from
said Point of Beginning perpendicular to said southwesterly right of way line
north 60°,15' 51" east 100.00 feet to the northeasterly right of way line of
said railroad, also being the southwesterly line of Laurel Drive; thence along
said southwesterly line of Laurel Drive, north 290 44' 09" west 25.00 feet;
thence leaving said southwesterly line of Laurel Drive,south 600 15' 51"west
100.00 feet to the southwesterly right of way line of said railroad; thence
south 290 44' 09" east 25.00 feet to the Point of Beginning.
