In the Matter of Extending the ) 90/171
Viacom Cablevision License ) RESOLUTION NO.
Subject: Extension of Cable Television License Granted
to Viacom Cablevision.
WHEREAS on June 21, 1966, the Board granted a nonexclusive
license to Viacom Cablevision to construct, operate and maintain
a community antenna television system within a certain area of
Contra Costa County ( "County" ) in accordance with Division 58 of
the County Ordinance Code;
WHEREAS the above-described license expires on March 31,
1990;
WHEREAS Viacom Cablevision desires to renew its license;
WHEREAS County is in the process of preparing and
considering amendments to its Cable Television Ordinance
(Division 58 of the County Ordinance Code) ;
WHEREAS it is anticipated that the proposed amendments will
not be completed prior to March 31, 1990; and
WHEREAS the County and Viacom Cablevision desire to extend
the above-described license to facilitate completion of the
proposed amendments;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the above-described
license to Viacom Cablevision is extended to September 30 , 1990 .
BE, IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this extension is granted upon
the same terms and conditions, and subject to the same
limitations, presently applicable to the license, including all
provisions of Division 58 of the County Ordinance Code.
PASSED BY THE BOARD by unanimous vote on March. 20 , 1990 .

Subject: Extension of Cable Television License Granted to
Bay Cablevision, Inc.
WHEREAS on November 22 , 1968 and February 3 , 1969 , the Board
granted nonexclusive licenses to Bay Cablevision, Inc to
construct, operate and maintain a community antenna television
system within a certain area of Contra Costa County ( "County" ) in
accordance with Division 58 of the County Ordinance Code;
WHEREAS the above-described licenses expire on March 31,
1990 ;
WHEREAS Bay Cablevision, Inc. desires to renew its license;
WHEREAS County is in the process of preparing and
considering amendments to its Cable Television Ordinance
(Division 58 of the County Ordinance Code) ;
WHEREAS it is anticipated that the proposed amendments will
not be completed prior to March 31, 1990; and
WHEREAS the County and Bay Cablevision, Inc. desire to
extend the above-described licenses to facilitate completion of
the proposed amendments;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the above-described
licenses to Bay Cablevision, Inc. are extended to September 30,
1990.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this extension is granted upon
the same terms and conditions, and subject to the same
limitations, presently applicable to the licenses, including all
provisions of Division 58 of the County Ordinance Code.

Concord TV Cable License ) RESOLUTION NO.
Subject: Extension of Cable Television License Granted
to Concord TV .Cable
WHEREAS on August 16, 1966, the Board granted a nonexclusive
license to Western Communications, Inc. to construct, operate and
maintain a community antenna television system within a certain
area of Contra Costa County ( "County" ) in accordance with
Division 58 of the County Ordinance Code;
WHEREAS Western Communications, Inc. subsequently changed
the names of its company to Concord TV Cable and this change was
duly acknowledged by the Board on April 25 , 1967 ;
WHEREAS the above-described license expires on March 31,
1990;
WHEREAS Concord TV Cable desires to renew its license;
WHEREAS County is in the process of preparing and
considering amendments to its Cable Television Ordinance
(Division 58 of the County Ordinance Code) ;
WHEREAS it is anticipated that the proposed amendments will
not be completed prior to March 31, 1990; and
WHEREAS the County and Concord TV Cable desire to extend the
above-described license to facilitate completion of the proposed
amendments;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the above-described
license to Concord TV Cable is extended to September 30, 1990.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this extension is granted upon
the same terms and conditions, and subject to the same
limitations, presently applicable to the license, including all
provisions of Division 58 of the County Ordinance Code.

Subject: Extension of Cable Television License Granted
to Televents, Inc. (Clyde Area of Contra Costa
County)
WHEREAS on November 25, 1980, the Board granted a
nonexclusive license to Western Cabled Systems to construct,
operate and maintain a community antenna television system within
a certain area of Contra Costa County ( "County" ) in accordance
with Division 58 of the County Ordinance Code;
WHEREAS the above-described license was transferred to
Televents, Inc. by Resolution No. 89/572 dated August 22, 1989 .
WHEREAS the above-described license expires on March 31,
1990;
WHEREAS Televents, Inc. desires to renew its license;
WHEREAS County is in the process of preparing and
considering amendments to its Cable Television Ordinance
(Division 58 of the County Ordinance Code) ;
WHEREAS it is anticipated that the proposed amendments will
not be completed prior to March 31, 1990; and
WHEREAS the County and Televents, Inc. desire to extend the
above-described license to facilitate completion of the proposed
amendments;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the above-described
license to Televents, Inc. is extended to September 30, 1990.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this extension is granted upon
the same terms and conditions, and subject to the same
limitations, presently applicable to the licenses, including all
provisions of Division 58 of the County Ordinance Code.

Subject: Extension of Cable Television License Granted
to United Artists Cablesystems Corporation
Midwest, Inc.
WHEREAS on August 16, 1966 , the Board granted a nonexclusive
license to General Electric Cablevision Corporation (GE) to
construct, operate and maintain a community antenna television
system within a certain area of Contra Costa County ( "County" ) in
accordance with Division 58 of the County Ordinance Code;
WHEREAS pursuant to a merger between GE and United Artists
Cablesystems Corporation Midwest, Inc. (UA) , the Board on Aug. 28,
1984, approved the transfer and assignment of the above-described
license to UA;
WHEREAS the above-described license expires on March 31,
1990;
WHEREAS UA desires to renew its license;
WHEREAS County is in the process of preparing and
considering amendments to its Cable Television Ordinance
(Division 58 of the County Ordinance Code) ;
WHEREAS it is anticipated that the proposed amendments will
not be completed prior to March 31, 1990; and
WHEREAS the County and UA desire to extend the
above-described license to facilitate completion of the proposed
amendments;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the above-described
license to UA is extended to September 30, 1990 .
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this extension is granted upon
the same terms and conditions, and subject to the same
limitations, presently applicable to the license, including all
provisions of Division 58 of the County Ordinance Code.

system within a certain area of Contra Costa County ( "County" ) in
accordance with Division 58 of the County Ordinance Code;
WHEREAS the above-described license expires on March 31,
1990;
WHEREAS Century Communications Corporation desires to renew
its license;
WHEREAS County is in the process of preparing and
considering amendments to its Cable Television Ordinance
(Division 58 of the County Ordinance Code) ;
WHEREAS it is anticipated that the proposed amendments will
not be completed prior to March 31, 1990 ; and
WHEREAS the County and Century Communications Corporation
desire to extend the above-described license to facilitate
completion of the proposed amendments;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the above-described
license to Century Communications Corporation is extended to
September 30 , 1990.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this extension is granted upon
the same terms and conditions, and subject to the same
limitations, presently applicable to the license, including all
provisions of Division 58 of the County Ordinance Code.
