I. Recommended Action:
APPROVE Relocation Assistance claims from Karen Svihus dated February 27, 1990, for rental
differential and moving expenses.
AUTHORIZE Principal Real Property Agent to sign claims on behalf of the County.
APPROVE rental differential payment of $750 per month for 48 months effective February 1,
1990, and APPROVE_ payment of $2,832.56 relocation assistance obligation resulting from
County Service Area R7A purchasing of property in Danville known as the Hap Magee Park,
when claimant was a tenant.
AUTHORIZE the Auditor-Controller to issue payment to Karen Svihus of$2,832.56 for reimburse-
ment of moving expenses and to be forwarded to the Real Property Division for delivery. Also
AUTHORIZE Auditor-Controller to make additional replacement housing payments to be paid
monthly, to Karen Svihus in the amount of $750 per month, beginning February 1, 1990, and
continuing on the first of each month for a maximum of 48 months.
II. Financial Impact:
Payment of$38,832.56 over a four year period from County Service Area R7A acquisition funds.
(50% County R7A, 50% Town of Danville)

III. Reasons for Recommendations and Background:
The Hap Magee Park was acquired under a joint agreement between the County and the Town
of Danville. The claimant was a tenant on the Ranch at time of the acquisition and is entitled to
relocation benefits required by law.
IV. Consequences of Negative Action:
Negative action may result in litigation, appeal and legal exposure and expense for the County.
