SPECIFIC REQUEST(S) OR RECOMMENDATION(S) & BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION I. RECOMMENDED ACTION: Approve and authorize the Chairman to execute on behalf of the County, Contract #26-188 with Vallejo Temporary Services, Inc. in the amount of $100, 000 for the period June 1, 1989 - May 31, 1990 to provide nursing registry services at Merrithew Memorial Hospital and Clinics. II. FINANCIAL IMPACT: Funding for this service is included in the Health Services Department's Enterprise I budget. III. REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATIONS/BACKGROUND: The Board has approved various contracts with nursing registries for temporary licensed nursing personnel to assist Merrithew Memorial Hospital and Clinics during peak loads, temporary absences and emergency situations. Vallejo Temporary Services, Inc. is able to provide temporary nurses specializing in psychiatric and perinatal services. The document has been approved by the Department's Contracts and Grants Administrator in accordance with the guidelines approved by the Board's Order of December 1, 1981 (Guidelines for contract preparation and processing, Health Services Department) .
