With the cooperation of the county, the community and the Chamber of Commerce, this can become a pilot project that .other communities can become involved in. BACKGROUND: Bob Sullivan, Chair of the Appian Way Beautification Committee, has requested assistance from the county in their efforts to involve the local community in a clean up program along Appian Way. As West County representatives for Districts I and II we wholeheartedly support this community effort .to beautify this area. The Chamber will be sending out letters to property owners explaining the county' s nuisance ordinance, which bars renters or property owners from leaving junk, such as broken machinery and vehicles, trash, wood debris and tall weeds, in public view on their property.' Our district offices will assist, through the coordination of the County Administrator' s office, to make sure that offending property owners receive notification of county code enforcement violations.
