MICHAEL WALFORD, CHIEF ENGINEER, FLOOD CONTROL AND WATER CONSERVATION DISTRICT DATE: JUNE 61 1989 SUBJECT: INCREASE THE PURCHASE ORDER FOR SOUTHERN PACIFIC PIPELINES TO A TOTAL AMOUNT OF $86, 308 . 99, LINDSEY BASIN PROJECT, OAKLEY AREA Specific Request(s) or Recommendation(s) & Background & Justification RECOMMENDATION ACTION APPROVE an increase in the amount of $17 , 308 . 99 to the PURCHASE ORDER (#48130) to Southern Pacific Pipelines (a total amount of $86, 308 . 99) for the required relocation of a 12 inch Petroleum Pipeline in the Lindsey Basin Project. FINANCIAL IMPACT The increase will be funded by Drainage Area 56 . REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATION/BACKGROUND The Flood Control District has an Agreement for Relocation Services with Southern Pacific Pipelines stating that the Flood Control District will reimburse the relocation costs. CONSEQUENCES OF NEGATIVE ACTION Southern Pacific Pipelines will not be paid for work agreed to by the Flood Control District.
