Bragdon �a Director of Community Development cpst DATE: April 21, 1989 Co urty SUBJECT: Hearing on Rezoning Application 42831-RZ, Contra Costa County Redevelopment Agency, (Applicant and Owner) , to rezone .77 acres of land located between Market Avenue, Giaramita Street, Silver Avenue, and 5th Street in the North Richmond area from Two Family Residential District (D-1) to Single Family Residential District (R-6) . SPECIFIC REQUEST S) OR RECOMMENDATIONS(S) & BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION RECOMMENDATIONS 1. Accept the environmental documentation prepared for this project as being adequate. 2. Approve Rezoning Application 42831-RZ, from Two Family Residential District (D-1) to Single Family Residential (R-6) , as recommended by the Contra Costa County Planning Commission. 3. Adopt the Contra Costa County Planning Commission's findings as set forth in Resolution L No. 26-1989 as the determinations for these actions. 4. Introduce the ordinance giving effect to the aforesaid rezoning, waive reading and set forth date for do tion of same. CONTINUED ON ATTACHMENT: YES SIGNA ACTION OF BOARD ON June 13, 1989 APPROVED AS RECOMMENDED x OTHER _ This being the time heretofore noticed by the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors for hearing on the recommendation of the Contra Costa County Planning Commission on the request by the Contra Costa County Redevelopment Agency (applicant and owner) ( 2831-RZ) to rezone .77 acres of land from Two Family Residential (D-1) to Single Family Residential District (R-6) in the North Richmond area. Jean Mesick, Community Development Department, presented the staff report on the rezoning request and recommended that the Board approve the above recommendations. The public hearing was opened and no one appearing in opposition, the public hearing was closed. On recommendation of Supervisor Powers, IT IS BY THE BOARD ORDERED that recommendations 1, 21 3, and 4 are APPROVED; and as in recommendation 4, Ordinance No. 89-37 is INTRODUCED, reading waived, and June 20, 1989 is set for adoption of same.
