In the Matter of Recognizing )
the Asian Tour of Concert Bronze ) RESOLUTION 89/ 373
and Vocal Choir of Grace )
Presbyterian Church, Walnut Creek )
Concert Bronze, an internationally recognized handbell choir and
its related Vocal Choir will leave on June 15th for a 2 week
concert tour performing in Hong Kong, Manila and Taiwan.
As part of the tour, these groups have been invited to perform
in Taichung County, Contra Costa' s Sister County. They will
offer greetings to our friends in Taichung from the citizens of
Contra Costa County.
Recognizing the need for understanding and cooperation between
our two counties, these young citizens will bring a message of
good will with the hope that our strong bonds of common
interests may be strengthened.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Supervisors that
the members of the Asian Tour group be recognized and commended
for their contribution to strengthening the ties between our two
counties and further, that the citizens of our sister county of
Taichung receive affectionate greetings from the citizens of
Contra Costa County.
PASSED AND ADOPTED ON June 13 , 1989, by a unanimous vote of the
board present.
