CLERK OF THE BOARD OF Auditor-Controller SUPERVISORS AND COUNTY ADMINISTRATOR Contractor BY QL/ ,DEPUTY M382/7-83 BOARD ORDER Contract Amendment Agreement #26-167-3 Page 2 Subsequently, it was discovered that there was no storage area within the building housing the Richmond Health Center for the safe storage of infectious waste . In order to handle the storage of this waste appropriately, Health Services staff agreed to rent from the Contractor a locked steel bin, constructed for storage of contaminated waste , which could be placed outside the building. After receiving an invoice from the Contractor for this rental , it was discovered that there was no provision in the Contract to pay for this service. Therefore , the Department is requesting that your Board ratify this purchase of service and authorize the Auditor-Controller to pay the $200 owed to the Contract from January 1 through May 31 , 1989 . The storage bin rental will then be included in the terms of the amended contract . Over the past several months , the volume of infectious waste has been greater than anticipated, and therefore , the Department is requesting approval of Contract Amendment Agreement 4626-167-3 to authorize sufficient funds to cover not only the cost of renting the storage bin , but also the cost of increased infectious waste removal services through the term of the Contract .
