Specific Request (s) or Recommendation(s) & Background & Justification I. RECOMMENDED ACTION: APPROVE the Plans and Specifications for the Alves Lane Signal and Riverside Drive Signal Project and ADVERTISE for bids to be received on Thursday, July 13 , 1989 at 2 : 00 p.m. DIRECT the Clerk of the Board to publish the Notice to Contractors in accordance with Section 20392 of the Public Contract Code, and DIRECT the Director of Community Development to file a Notice of Exemption with the County Clerk. II. FINANCIAL IMPACT: The estimated contract cost of the project is $224 , 530 . 00. It is to be funded by West Pittsburg Area of Benefit funds. XII. REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATION/BACKGROUND: 'The Public Works Director has filed with the Board of Supervisors the Plans and Specifications for the Alves Lane Signal and Riverside Drive Signal Project. The project has been determined to be in compliance with the General Plan. It has been determined that this project is exempt from CEQA requirements as a Class 1C Categorical Exemption. The purpose of the signals is to improve the safety of the intersections of the afore mentioned signals. The Board hereby concurs in said determination.
