As citizens, they have each demonstrated their involvement and respect for county government. To their children - Diane, Steven, Gary, Jack, Christopher and Janice they gave their heritage =of faith in God and service to s the community. Throughout the fifty years of their marriage they have worked together to make their lives and those of their children and grandchildren richer in the knowledge and pride of their California heritage. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Supervisors that Sunday, May 14th is designated WALLACE AND MARION SHELBY DAY and that the citizens of Contra Costa County extend their congratulations and thanks to the Shelbys for the example of their years of commitment to each other and to their community.
