Declare vacant the Public Interest seat previously occupied by Dr.Johnson and direct the Clerk of the Board to apply the Board's policy to fill the vacancy. BACKGROUND: The seats of four members of the Mental Health Advisory Board expire on May 31, 1989. The Advisory Board is recommending that all four members be reappointed for full three year terms. In addition, because of the difficulty in filling the physician positions, the Advisory Board is recommending that Dr. Johnson be moved to the vacant physician position, leaving a vacancy in the Public Interest category which is much easier to fill. Our Committee is in agreement with these recommendations and therefore makes the above recommendations to the Board of Supervisors.
