HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 04251989 - S.5 IN THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, STATE OF CALIFORNIA In the Matter of Support of ) Including the Lowering and ) RESOLUTION NO. 89/243 Widening of State Route 4 over ) Willow Pass Grade in the ) Regional Transportation Program ) WHEREAS lowering and widening State Route 4 over Willow Pass is the highest priority unfunded State highway project in Contra Costa County; and WHEREAS the Chair of the Contra Costa Board of Supervisors testified in support of this project, and in support of the Metropolitan Transportation Commission's traditional method of allocating new revenue for projects added to the Regional Transportation Improvement Program at . their March 22 public hearing; and WHEREAS the Work Program Committee of the Metropolitan Transportation Commission adopted a new method of allocating revenue for projects added to the Regional Transportation Improvement Program which local agencies had no time to review and which did not include the State Route 4 project; NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Supervisors of Contra Costa County that the Metropolitan Transportation Commission should reject the recommendation of their Work Program Committee for allocating new revenue to projects added to the Regional Transportation Improvement Program, and approve one of the allocation procedures discussed at their March 22 public hearing that would allow the addition of the State Route 4 project in the Regional Transportation Improvement Program.
