SUBJ: RECLASSIFICATION OF POSITION #441 FROM
DATA ENTRY OPERATOR II TO CLERK-SPECIALIST
LEVEL
Attached is a P-300 and Classification Questionnaire concerning
Data Entry Operator II Position #441, currently filled by Naomi .
Dickey. Ms. Dickey' s application for Clerk-Specialist Level is also
attached. It is requested that the position be reclassified to
Clerk-Specialist Level.
The Department feels that it is appropriate to classify this
position at the Clerk-Specialist Level because the position serves as
a technical advisor for non-technical departmental staff in the area
of data services. The position also serves as a trouble shooter for
problems with word processors, printers, and other equipment. The
incumbent has an in-depth understanding of the department' s
computerized systems, software packages, and various data and word
processing procedures. The position has designated responsibility for
training department staff in computer applications.
We. believe that the duties performed are consistent with the Clerk
Specialist classification level as described. It is requested that a
desk audit of this position be scheduled as soon as possible.
