GILBERT, DIRECTOR OF GENERAL SERVICES Contra Costa DATE: March 28, 1989 Camey SUBJECT: APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF CHANGE ORDER NO. 1 TO CONTRACT FOR IMPROVEMENTS AT COUNTY FINANCE BUILDING, 625 COURT STREET, MARTINEZ (WH289B) SPECIFIC REQUEST(S) OR RECOMMENDATION(S) & BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION I. RECOMMENDATION APPROVE Change Order No. 1 to the Contract dated November 29, 1988, for Improvements at County Finance Building, 625 Court Street, Martinez, and AUTHORIZE the Director of General Services to execute the Change Order, which provides for modification to the electrical system in room 204A, Finance Building, and increases the Contract Price by $8,564. 00. II. FINANCIAL IMPACT There are sufficient funds in the plant acquisition account to cover the Change Order. III. REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATIONS/BACKGROUND The Auditor will have additional computer equipment installed in room 204A to handle the new automated accounts payment system. Additional electrical outlets and additional raceways for computer cabling are essential to operate the new equipment.
