HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 06071988 - 1.3 THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA Adopted this Order on June 7, 1988, by the following vote: AYES: Supervisors Powers , Fanden, McPeak, Torlakson & Schroder NOES: None ABSENT: None TRAFFIC RESOLUTION NO. 3238 ABSTAIN: None Supervisorial District II SUBJECT: Speed Limits on ALHAMBRA VALLEY ROAD (Road No. 1481) The Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors RESOLVES THAT: On the basis of an engineering and traffic survey and recommendations thereon by the County Public Works Department's Traffic Engineering Division and pursuant to the County Ordinance Code Chapter 46-2 (Sec. 46-2 . 002 ff. ) , this Board hereby determines that the present speed limit(s) established on the below-described road, a street within the criteria of Vehicle Code Section 22358 is(are) more than reasonable and safe, and hereby determines and declares that the following speed limit(s) is(are) most appropriate, reasonable, and safe prima facie speed limit(s) there: Pursuant to Section 22358 of the California Vehicle Code, no vehicle shall travel in excess of 25 miles per hour on that portion of ALHAMBRA VALLEY ROAD (Rd. #1481) Martinez, beginning at the Martinez city limits and extending southerly to the intersection of Wanda Way; Thence no vehicle shall travel in excess of 35 miles per hour on that portion of Alhambra Valley Road beginning at the intersection of Wanda Way and extending southerly to the intersection of Reliez Valley Road; Thence no vehicle shall travel in excess of 40 miles per hour on that portion of Alhambra Valley Road, beginning at the intersection of Reliez Valley Road and extending westerly a distance of 1.2 miles; Thence no vehicle shall travel in excess of 30 miles per hour on that portion of Alhambra Valley Road beginning at a point 1. 2 miles west of Reliez Valley Road and extending westerly to a point . 80 miles easterly of Castro Ranch Road and extending westerly to the Pinole city limits.
