Supervisor Schroder requested clarification from staff as to why the natural water course was not being used. Gus Almquist, Community Development Department, responded to Supervisor Schroder' s concerns commenting on the two engineers, Stedman & Associates and Aliquot, involved with the two subdivisions and that jointly the two developers are putting in the main storm drain from their subdivisions down to the bypass. The public hearing was closed. Supervisor Schroder commented on his desire to confer with the engineers and Flood Control on the diversion and to confer with Victor Westman, County Counsel, relative to the liability of changing the natural water course to an underground system. Supervisor Schroder moved to declare intent to approve the subdivision request pending resolution of the drainage course and to defer the decision for one week.
