RE'ASMS FM Cli/BACQ QIA]D' Each year the County Sanitation Districts are required to set by Ordinance the annual sewer service charges. Government Code Section 54992 describes what steps are necessary before such an ordinance can be adopted. IV. OF NEGATIVE ACTICN: The District would be unable to collect the sewer and water service fee for Fiscal Year 1988-89. The collection and treatment of sewage is necessary to protect the public health and the environment. A safe, dependable, pottable water supply is also essential. If the District is unable to collect the Fiscal Year 1988-89 service fees it will have to borrow money to provide these services, and future service charges will have to be increased to repay the borrowed money.
