_SUBJECT: Lou Hernandez Complaint
Complaint #1, Stuart Erskine of Knightsen Avenue: In September, 1986 a criminal
complaint was filed with Delta Municipal Court for a zoning violation in an A-2
zone. The violation is storing junked vehicles, "inoperative, wrecked, or
dismantled". In the latter part of May, 1987, these vehicles were identified
and notices sent to the property owner and the last known registered owner of
each vehicle. In the latter part of July, 1987, 32 vehicles were removed from
the property by the vehicle abatement team. On February 19, 1988 another 12
vehicles were identified and notices sent. These vehicles will be removed by
the end of March 1988.
On March 24, 1988, Mr. Erskine and his attorney appeared in court for a
pre-trial conference. At this time County Counsel and I tried to work a
compromise if he would plead guilty to the 3 counts filed against him. Mr.
Erksine choose not to change his plea. April 299 1988, at 1:00 p.m. was set for
a court trial .
Complaint #2, Roy Amador of Broadway: He has been making attempts to clean his
property. However, he continues to work on vehicles at night and on weekends_ .
Therefore, a criminal complaint is being filed on him for a zoning violation.
Complaint #3, Mable Broussard of Broadway: The inoperative and dismantled
vehicles on her property has been identified and notices sent to the last know
owners of the vehicles. Mrs. Broussa,d has signed the release as property owner
and so the vehicles will be towed by the County.
