SUBJECT: Approve the Alteration of Purchase Order #P36715 to
Increase Amount to $14 ,495 . 00 for Utility Relocations
for the Upper Pine Creek , Project No . 7520- 688689 ,
Concord Area .
Specific Request(s ) or . Recommendation (s ) & Background &
Justification
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Authorize the alteration of Purchase Order #P36715 issued to the
Pacific Gas and Electric Company to increase the payment limit to
an amount not to exceed $14 ,495 . 00 .
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
Purchase Order #P36715 was issued in the amount of $6 , 095 . 00 .
The recommended alteration will increase the payment limit by
$8 ,400 . 00 .
REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATION/BACKGROUND:
The purchase order alteration provides for the relocation and
bracing of three power poles and underground conduit which
conflicts with the Corps of Engineers ' Upper Pine Creek project .
The purchase order includes $1 ,800 . 00 for Contribution in Aid of
Construction which may be a District responsibility pending
decision by the California Public Utilities Commission .

CONSEQUENCES OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
The power lines would have to be protected in placed by the
Corps ' contractor and would cause construction delays and
increase the construction costs of the Upper Pine Creek Project ,
