SPECIFIC REQUEST S) OR RECOMMENDATION(S) & BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION
I. RECOMUMED ACTION:
AUTHORIZE the Director of General Services to EXECUTE, on
behalf of the County, a Lease, commencing January 1, 1988
with Jeffrey S. Weil for the premises at 213-215 G Street,
Antioch for continued occupancy by the Probation Department,
under the terms and conditions more particularly set forth in
said Lease.
II. FINANCIAL IMPACT:
Payments required are to come from the Miscellaneous
Properties budget of the General Services Department.
III. REASONS FOR RECOVR4ENDATIONS/BACKGROUND:
Provide for continued use of office space as requested by the
Probation Department.

I. RECONIlENDED ACTION:
AUTHORIZE the Director of General Services to EXECUTE, on
behalf of the County, a Lease, commencing May 1 , 1988 to
Motorola, Inc. for the premises at Highland Peak, Morgan
Territory for occupancy by Motorola, Inc. , under the terms
and conditions more particularly set forth in said Lease.
II. FINANCIAL IMPACT:
Revenue lease. Net income to the County of $3 ,600 per year.
III. REASONS FOR RECONIl4ENDATIONS/BACKGROUND:
Provide additional revenue to the County.

commencing May 1, 1988, with W. R. Cole for the premises at 24
Goree Court, Martinez, for continued occupancy by the Health
Services Department, under the terms and conditions more
particularly set forth in said Lease.
II. Financial Impact: Payments required are to come from the
budget of the Health Services Department.
III. Reasons for Recommendations/Background: Provide for continued
use of warehouse space as requested by the Health Services
Department.

I. Recommended Action: AUTHORIZE the Director of General
Services to EXECUTE, on behalf of- the East Diablo Fire
Protection District, a Lease with Patricia A. Casey, Carl B.
Casey, Bearl Casey and Willo D. Casey for the premises at 791
Walnut Boulevard, Brentwood, for continued occupancy by the
East Diablo Fire Protection District, under the terms and
conditions more particularly set forth in said Lease.
II. Financial Impact: Payments required are to come from the
budget of the East Diablo Fire Protection District.
III. Reasons for Recommendations/Background: Provide temporary
garage space for fire trucks as requested by the East Diablo
Fire Protection District until the District can acquire funds
to build permanent garage space.

SUBJECT: Lease for Social Service Department
SPECIFIC REQUEST(S) OR RECOMMENDATIONS) & BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION
I. Recommended Action: AUTHORIZE the Director of General
Services to EXECUTE, on behalf of the County, a Lease
commencing June 1, 1988 , with Muir Parkway Properties for the
premises at 1340 Arnold Drive, Suite 220, Martinez, for
occupancy by the Social Service Department, under the terms
and conditions more particularly set forth in said Lease.
DETERMINE that the above project is a Class 1 (a) Cate-
gorical Exemption under the California Environmental Quality
Act.
DIRECT the Director of General Services to FILE a Notice
of Exemption with the County Clerk.
II. Financial Impact: Payments required are to come from the
budget of the Social Service Department.
III. Reasons for Recommendations/Background: The staff development
and appeals functions of the Social Service Department are
being relocated to make room for expanded county staff
development operations at the George Gordon Center.
