SUBJECT: Specific Plan for the E1 Sobrante Valley
SPECIFIC REQUEST(S) OR RECOMMENDATION(S) & BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION
REC"ENDATION:
That the Board of Supervisors of Contra Costa County instructs the
Community Development Department to meet with the City of Richmond to
see if we can develop a program for a specific plan in the E1 Sobrante
Valley.
BACKGROUND:
As the population in the E1 Sobrante Valley has increased, issues
of land use and transportation continue to be discussed. As a result,
there is a need to coordinate efforts between the County and the City of
Richmond to resolve any potential land use or traffic problems.
Contra Costa County should try to tie into the City of Richmond's
current efforts to update its general plan. By working with the City, a
specific plan may address the needs of the entire E1 Sobrante Valley.
