MICHAEL WALFORD, CHIEF ENGINEER DATE: May 17, 1988 SUBJECT: Adopt Fiscal Year 1987/88 Budget for Drainage Area 101A, Tassajara Avenue Specific Request(s) or Recommendation(s) & Background & Justification I. RECOMMENDATION Adopt a Fiscal Year 1987/88 budget for Flood Control Drainage Area 101A for the following work: 1) . Preliminary design for the detention basin $25, 000 2) Right of way engineering 5, 000 3) Right of way appraisals 30 , 000 TOTAL BUDGET AMOUNT $60, 000 II. FINANCIAL IMPACT The above amounts will be funded by the adopted drainage fee in Drainage Area 101A. III. REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATION/BACKGROUND On May 10, 1988 , the Board of Supervisors approved the formation and adopted a drainage fee ordinance for Drainage Area 101A. Several subdivisions in this area are ready to proceed with the filing of final maps. It is necessary to adopt a budget for the remainder of the Fiscal Year 1987/88 to allow the design, the acquisition of rights of way, and excavation of the Bettencourt Detention Basin to proceed in an orderly manner.
