FINANCIAL IMPACT UnderAB 3205 the County would receive 35%of its first allocation, or$70,000. Staff believes this would be adequate to complete the Hazardous Waste Management Plan. REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATION/BACKGROUND AB 2948 (Tanner) requires Counties to prepare a Hazardous Waste Management Plan. The State funded these plans at levels commensurate with the amount of hazardous waste shipped off-site in each County. Contra Costa County received $200,000 in the first funding allocation but only $35,000 in the second allocation. AB 3205 (Tanner) is designed to rectify the funding inadequacy of the second allocation.
