RECOMMENDED ACTION Approve and authorize the Director, Social Service Depart- ment, to sign and submit Amendment #2 to fiscal year 1987-88 Notification of Subgrant Award #07-8788 (County #29-002-54) to the California Department of Aging, to decrease the amount of Title III Older Americans Act funds allotted to the County by $16, 826 for a new total of $1,941,598. II. FINANCIAL IMPACT: None. No additional costs to County. III. REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATION/BACKGROUND: The County Office on Aging has received notification from the California Department of Aging regarding the County' s reduced Title III funding allocation for FY 1987-88 . Federal funds for Supportive Services (III-B) and Congregate Nutrition ( III-C1) have been reduced while Home-Delivered Nutrition ( III-C2) has been increased as a result of the FFY 1988 Continuing Resolution (P.L. 100-202) . The overall impact of passage of FFY 1988 Continuing Resolution (P.L. 100-202) has resulted in a decrease in the amount of Title III funds allotted to the County by $16,826. Program impact is nil. There has been a decreased demand for Congregate Nutrition ( III-C1) and sufficient underexpenditure in Supportive Services (III-B) to cover the overall funding decrease.
