SUBJECT: Authorizing Execution of JTPA II-A Contract Amendment Agreements
with Certain Existing JTPA Unit Size Project Contractors
SPECIFIC REQUEST(S) OR RECOMMENDATION(.S) & BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION
I. RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Authorize the Executive Director of the Contra Costa County
Private Industry Council to execute, on behalf of the County,
standard form Contract Amendment Agreements, effective April
19, 1988, to change Contract payment limits for specific
existing JTPA Unit Size contracts as indicated on the attached
JTPA Unit Size Specifications Chart with no change in contract
ending dates.
II. FINANCIAL IMPACT:r'
None. 100 percent Federal funds.
III. REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATION/BACKGROUND::'
By its orders dated December 8, 1987 and February 2, 1988 the
Board authorized the Executive Director to execute standard
form contracts with specified JTPA Unit Size service providers
to provide training and job placement services for JTPA
participants.
By recommendation of the Private Industry Council Executive
Committee on April 13, 1988 and action by the Private Industry
Council on April 18, 1988, additional funds were approved for
commitment to these projects in order to serve an additional
twelve (12) JTPA participants.
