HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 04121988 - S.8 5,X THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA IN THE MATTER OF ) Recognizing the Valuable ) RESOLUTION NO. 88/194 Contributions of ) Emily Cutino to the ) Oakley Community ) WHEREAS, Emily Cutino, a life long resident of Oakley, has been nominated for the Oakley Citizen of the Year Award in recognition of her outstanding and dedicated service to the community; WHEREAS, as an Honorary Life Member, she has participated actively for many years in the local PTA serving as President. She has served as room mother for 40 years, as a volunteer aide for the Oakley schools, and as field trip chaperone for the recreational department and Liberty High School; WHEREAS, Emily Cutino further serves the community through her active involvement with the Red Cross, the March of Dimes, the Portuguese Society-Flor de Oakley, and St. Anthony' s Church where she was been awarded with a Hope Medal in recognition of her outstanding participation in many areas of church service; WHEREAS, she organized the Guadalupe Society serving as its President for two years and has served as past president for the Portuguese Lodge; WHEREAS, she volunteers for the Contra Costa County well baby and prenatal clinics; WHEREAS, she donates a tremendous amount of time and talent to many children' s programs and activities, including the Boys Scouts, Cub Scouts and Brownies serving as den mother and leader and adds to the joy of the Christmas season as "Mrs. Santa Claus" for the volunteer fire department; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA, does hereby extends its heartiest congratulations to Emily Cutino on her nomination as 1988 Oakley Citizen of the Year and joins the community in recognizing her for her outstanding and dedicated service to the Oakley community. PASSED by unanimous vote of the Board Members present on this 12th of Day of April, 1988. I hereby certify that the foregoing is a true and correct copy of an order entered on the minutes of said Board of Supervisors of the date aforesaid.
