THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA
Adopted this Order on March 22, 1988 by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Powers, Fanden, McPeak, Torlakson and Schroder
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
ABSTAIN: None
SUBJECT: Proposed temporary closure of Crow Canyon Road
Supervisor Schroder advised that he had just learned that
the City of San Ramon is proposing to close Crow Canyon and Dougherty
roads for about 45 days while a development firm moves the
intersection of those two streets. He noted that the City of Danville
is concerned because of the possible added traffic on Sycamore Valley
Road and Camino Tassajara which would take place at the same time two
major road projects will begin in Danville on roads which would serve
as detours for Doughtery and Crow Canyon roads. He expressed concern
that there would be a major traffic impact on residents of the
unincorporated portions of the County in that area.
The Board determined that this matter is urgent and was
brought to its attention after the agenda was posted, and unanimously
agreed on the need to take action at this meeting.
As recommended by Supervisor Shcroder, IT IS BY THE BOARD
ORDERED that the Public Works staff is AUTHORIZED to attend the
meeting of the San Ramon City Council this evening to discuss the
proposed temporary closure, and to voice the County' s concerns.
