HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 03221988 - S.10 S. 10 THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA Adopted this Order on March 22, 1988 by the following vote: AYES: Supervisors Powers, Fanden, McPeak, Torlakson and Schroder NOES: None ABSENT: None ABSTAIN: None SUBJECT: Proposed temporary closure of Crow Canyon Road Supervisor Schroder advised that he had just learned that the City of San Ramon is proposing to close Crow Canyon and Dougherty roads for about 45 days while a development firm moves the intersection of those two streets. He noted that the City of Danville is concerned because of the possible added traffic on Sycamore Valley Road and Camino Tassajara which would take place at the same time two major road projects will begin in Danville on roads which would serve as detours for Doughtery and Crow Canyon roads. He expressed concern that there would be a major traffic impact on residents of the unincorporated portions of the County in that area. The Board determined that this matter is urgent and was brought to its attention after the agenda was posted, and unanimously agreed on the need to take action at this meeting. As recommended by Supervisor Shcroder, IT IS BY THE BOARD ORDERED that the Public Works staff is AUTHORIZED to attend the meeting of the San Ramon City Council this evening to discuss the proposed temporary closure, and to voice the County' s concerns. an action taken and watered or,the minutes of Rhe 3oard of Superulsors on the da"M z9 own.
