Justification
I . RECOMMENDED ACTION:
APPROVE the Plans and Specifications for the Glacier Drive
Parking Lot Extension Project and ADVERTISE for bids to be
received on Thursday, August 13 , 1987 at 2 : 00 p .m .
DIRECT the Clerk of the Board to publ ish the Notice to
Contractors in accordance with Section 20392 of the Public
Contact Code , and
DIRECT the Director of Community Development to file a Notice of
Exemption with the County Clerk .
II . FINANCIAL IMPACT:
The estimated contract cost of the project is . $149,600 . It is to
be funded by Act . No . 4425-4272- ( 6G5376 ) .
III . REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATION/BACKGROUND:
The Public Works Director has filed with the Board of Supervisors
the Plans and Specifications for the Glacier Drive Parking Lot
Extension Project .
The general prevailing rates of wages , which shall be the minimum
rates paid on this project , have been filed with the Clerk of
the Board and copies will be made available to any interested
party upon request .

The project has been determined to be in compliance with the
General Plan . It has been determined that this project is exempt
from CEQA requirements as a Class 3C Categorical Exemption . The
project will have no significant effects on the environment . The
Board hereby concurs in said determination .
