RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO VACATE A
PUBLIC STREET
The Board of Supervisors of Contra Costa County RESOLVES THAT:
Pursuant to Chapter 3, "General Vacation Procedure, " of Part 3
of Division 9 of the Streets and Highways Code, This Board
declares its intention to vacate the County street commonly known
as the Ralston Avenue Alley and described in attached Exhibit
"A". This proposed vacation is generally located in the area of
I Richmond. A map of the portion to be vacated is on file in the
Public Works Department.
This Board will meet on Tuesday, August 11, 1987 at 9:00 a.m.
in its Chambers, Administration Building, 651 Pine Street,
Martinez, California, to hear evidence offered by any interested
party as to whether this is unnecessary for present or prospec-
tive public use.
This Board DIRECTS the Clerk to have a copy of this resolution
of intention published in a newspaper of general circulation
published and circulated in this County, which is selected as the
newspaper most likely to give notice to persons interested in the
proposed vacation, for at least two successive weeks before the
hearing in accordance with Streets and Highways Code, Sections
8320 and 8322 . Said notice shall be posted conspicuously along
the line of this proposed vacation at least two weeks before the
hearing, in accordance with Streets and Highways Code, Section
8323 .

A portion of the 10.00 feet in width path located between Blocks 12 and 13
as shown on the Map of Tewksbury Heights filed September 20, 1909 in Book 2
of Maps at page 38 Records of Contra Costa County, California, described as
follows:
Beginning at the most easterly corner of Lot 18 of Block 13 of said map (2 M
38) , said point being on the westerly line of Ralston Avenue, from which a
radial line of a curve concave to the east having a radius of 970.00 feet
bears north 690 22' 40u east; thence southerly along said curve, through an
angle of 00 35' 26" , an arc distance of 10.00 feet to the most northerly
corner of Lot 19 of Block 12 of said map (2 M 38) ; thence along the
northerly line of said Lot 19, south 690 22' 40" west 115.00 feet to a point
from which a radial line of a curve concave to the east having a radius of
1,085.00 feet bears north 680 50' 57" east; thence leaving said northerly
line, northerly along said curve, through an angle of 00 31' 4211 , an arc
distance of 10.01 feet to a point on the southerly line of Lot 18 of Block
13 of said map (2 M 38); thence along said southerly line, north 690 22' 40"
east 115.00 feet to the point of beginning.
RESERVING THEREFROM: Pursuant to the provisions of Section 8340 of the
Streets and Highways Code , the easement and right at any time, or from time
to time, to construct, enlarge, maintain, operate, replace, remove, and
renew those existing and in place utilities , as of the date of recording
this instrument, in, upon, over and across any highway or part thereof
proposed to be abandoned , including access to protect the property from all
hazards in, upon, and over the area herein before described to be abandoned.
