THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA'
Adopted this Order on June 16, 1987 , by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Powers, Fanden, Torlakson, Schroder
NOES: None
ABSENT: Supervisor McPeak
ABSTAIN: None
RESOLUTION NO. 87/350
SUBJECT: Resolution of the Board of Supervisors Supporting the
Contra Costa County Fair and Urging the Public To Attend
WHEREAS, each summer the Contra Costa County Fair conducts
a traditional county fair for all of the residents of Contra Costa
County; and
WHEREAS , this year, the fair will open on July 19 and offer
many interesting and exciting exhibits , events, performances , and
entertainment ; and
WHEREAS , a parade through the streets of Antioch will
highlight the opening ceremonies for the fair, beginning at 10 :00 AM
on July 19 ; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors supports official
participation by the County in the opening parade and festivities
for the Contra Costa County Fair;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors
of Contra Costa . County authorizes one or more official representative
of this County to participate in the opening day parade and
festivities for the Contra Costa County Fair; and
BE IT FURTHER .RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors of
Contra Costa County urges the public to attend the fair and to
participate in the many activities that it will offer.
