SUBJECT: Lease with Regency Clayton, Inc.
SPECIFIC REQUEST(S) OR RECOMMENDATION(S) III BACMUtOUPD AND JUSTIFICATION
I. Recommended Action: AUTHORIZE the Chair of the Board of
Supervisors, as ex officio Chair of the Governing Body, to
EXECUTE, on behalf of the East Diablo Fire Protection
District, a Lease with Regency Clayton, Inc. for vacant land
in- the Clayton Regency Mobile Home Park, 16711 Marsh Creek
Road, Clayton, for occupancy by the East Diablo Fire
Protection District, under the terms and conditions more
particularly set forth in said Lease.
DETERMINE that the above project is a Class 3 Categorical
Exemption (15303) under the California Environmental Quality
Act.
DIRECT. the Director of General Services to FILE a Notice
of Exemption with the County Clerk.
II. Financial Impact: Payments required are to come from the
budget of the East Diablo Fire Protection District.
III. Reasons for Recommendations/Background: This lease will allow
the Fire District to erect a fire station in the Clayton area,
thus reducing the response time for emergencies.
