HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 06161987 - 1.22 IN THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, STATE OF CALIFORNIA In the Matter of Commending ) Mark Francis Lynch upon his ) RESOLUTION N0. 87/345 Retirement from the Richmond ) Fire Department ) WHEREAS Mark Francis Lynch entered the City of Richmond Fire Department as a Hoseman on September 10, 1957, and was promoted to Engineer on January 1, 1964, to Captain on July 4, 1965 and to Battalion Chief on April 30, 1973; and WHEREAS Mark was appointed Fire Marshal on November 14, 1975 and assigned to the position of Deputy Chief on November 13, 1979; and WHEREAS Mark has been an active member of the Uniform Building Code Committee for Northern California and was instrumental in having a sprinkler ordinance for commercial property instituted in 1981 and a "smoke detector" ordinance passed in 1983; and WHEREAS the City of Richmond together with the Board of Supervisors reluctantly acknowledges Mark Francis Lynch's retirement; NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Supervisors of Contra Costa County that Mark Francis Lynch is COMMENDED for thirty years of dedicated service to the City of Richmond, and for his devotion to the safety of its citizens; BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors of Contra Costa County WISHES Mark and his family good fortune, good health and much happiness in the years ahead. PASSED on June 16, 1987 by unanimous vote of the Board members present. I hereby certify that the foregoing is a true and correct copy of an order entered on the minutes of said Board of Supervisors on the date aforesaid.
