SUBJECT : Notification of Hearing to Consider the Amendment of
Drainage Area 44B Boundary , Pleasant Hill /Walnut Creek
Area . Project No . 7547- 6D8230
The Board of Supervisors of Contra Costa County , as the
Governing Board of the Contra Costa County Flood Control and
Water Conservation District , RESOLVES THAT :
The Contra Costa County Flood Control and Water Conservation
District Act , herein referred to as " Act" , provides authority for
said governing board to amend drainage area boundaries .
This Board has before it for consideration the proposed
amendment of the Drainage Area 44B Boundary as described in
Annexation No . 1 , attached hereto as Exhibit " A" and incorporated
herein by reference .
The Board further has before it the Engineer ' s Report and
the amended boundary map entitled " Drainage Area 44B Drainage
Plan and Amended Boundary Map ," dated May , 1987 . Said documents ,
which show the general location of said area are on file with and
may be examined at the office of the Clerk of the Board of
Supervisors , Administration Building , Martinez , California .
It is proposed that the Drainage Area 4 4 B boundary be
amended .
At 10: 30 a .m . on July 28 , 1987 , in the Chambers of the Board
of Supervisors , Administration Building , Martinez , California ,
this Board will conduct a public hearing on the proposed amend-
inent of said boundary for said Drainage Area . At said hearing ,
this Board will consider and act upon the Negative Declaration
and will hear and pass upon any and all written or oral objec-
tions to the amendment of the drainage area boundary. Upon
conclusion of the hearing , the Board may abandon the proposed
amendment of the boundary or proceed with the same .
The Clerk of this Board is DIRECTED to publish a Notice of
the Hearing , pursuant to Government Code SS 6066 , once a week for
two ( 2 ) successive weeks prior to' the hearing , in the " Contra
Costa Times" , a newspaper of general circulation , circulated in
Drainage Area 44B . Publication shall be completed at least seven
( 7 ) days before said hearing and said notice shall be given for a
period of not less than twenty ( 20) days .

RESOLUTION NO . 87/360
The exterior boundaries of said Drainage Area 44B include
lands within the cities of Walnut Creek and Pleasant Hill . The
Clerk of this Board is DIRECTED to forward to the governing bod
of said cities a copy of this Resolution at least twenty ( 201
days before the above noted hearing .

Board of Supervisors on the date shown.

Drainage Area 44B
Annexation No. 1
A portion of the Rancho Las Juntas situated in Contra Costa County,
California, described as follows:
All references to boundary lines, ownerships and acreages are of the records
of said County.
Beginning at a point on the westerly right of way line of the Southern
Pacific Railroad recorded June 20, 1891 in Book 60 of Deeds at page 216 of
Official Records, said point lying on the westerly extension of the southern
line with a bearing and distance of south 810 50' 38" west 157.79 feet as
shown on the map of Subdivision 5332 recorded August 29, 1978, in Book 216
of Maps at page 48; thence along said westerly extension and continuing
along the southerly boundary of said subdivision north 810 50' 38" east
282.00 feet, more or less, to an angle point in said boundary and south 370
05' 14" east 26.82 feet, and north 780 27' 16" east 263.15 feet, and south
00 03' 04" east 146.19 feet, and south 890 40' 39" east 104.89 feet to the
easterly line of said Subdivision 5332 (216 M 48) ; thence along said
easterly line north 80 14' 06" east 413.23 feet to the northeast corner of
said subdivision, said point being also the northwest corner of that parcel
of land described as PARCEL ONE in the deed to Transamerica Title Insurance
Company recorded February 14, 1986 in Book 12744 at page 393 of Official
Records; thence, along the northerly line of said parcel (12744 O.R. 393) 9
north 880 55' 00" east 170.00 feet to the northwest corner of that parcel of
land described in the deed to William Irving Grove, et ux, recorded November
20, 1967 in Book 5499 at page 64 of Official Records; thence along the
northerly and northeasterly lines of said Grove parcel north 880 50' 00"
east 325.00 feet, and south 330 43' 00" east 103.49 feet to the centerline
of Cherry Lane; thence along said centerlline in a general southwesterly
direction 680.35 feet to the southeasterly corner of that parcel of land
described in the deed to Mahler recorded November 3, 1976 in Book 8076 at
page 453 of Official Records, said point also being on the general southerly
boundary of the parcels of land delineated on the Record of Survey filed
March 18, 1986 in Book 79 of Land Surveyors' Maps at page 12; thence, in a
general westerly direction, along the said general southerly boundary of
said Record of Survey (79 L.S.M. 12) , north 890 28' 40" west 150.42 feet,
and south 50 35' 30" west 123.42 feet to a point on the northerly right of
way line of Treat Boulevard from which a radial line of a non-tangent curve
concave to the south having a radius of 1,747.12 feet bears south 50 50' 20"
west; thence westerly along said curve, through a central angle of 50 23'
5911 , an arc distance of 164.65 feet, and tangent to said curve north 890 33'
39" west 300.89 feet; thence continuing along said northerly right of way
line of Treat Boulevard and its westerly prolongation north 880 40' 16" west
450.00 feet, more or less, to a point on the westerly right of way line of
said Southern Pacific Railroad land (60 D 216) ; thence northerly along said
western right of way 470 feet, more or less, to the Point of Beginning.
