(Executive Assistant to the Hazardous Materials Commission)
The Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors ordains as follows
(omitting the parenthetical footnotes from the official text of
the enacted or amended provisions of the County Ordinance Code) :
SECTION I: SUMMARY. This ordinance adds Section 33-5. 389 to
the County Ordinance Code to exclude the Executive Assistant to
the Hazardous Materials Commission from the Merit System.
SECTION II : Section 33-5. 389 is added to the County Ordinance
Code to read:
33-5. 389. Executive Assistant to the Hazardous Materials
Commission. The Executive Assistant to the Hazardous
Materials Commission is excluded and is appointed by the
County Administrator. (Ord 87-24 )
SECTION III: EFFECTIVE DATE. This ordinance becomes effective 30
days after passage, and within 15 days of passage shall be
published once with the names of the supervisors voting for and
against it in the Martinez News Gazette a
newspaper published in this County.

AYES• Supervisors Powers , Fanden , Torlakson, McPeak.
NOES: None .
ABSENT• Supervisor Schroder .
ABSTAIN: None .

ORDINANCE NO. 87-24
