Adopted this Order on March 31 , 1987 , by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Fanden, Schroder, Torlakson and McPeak
NOES: None
ABSENT: Supervisor Powers

SUBJECT: Hearing on the Proposed Ordinance Adopting by Reference
the 1985 Uniform Building Code.
The Chair convened the hearing on the proposed Ordinance
to adopt by reference the 1985 Uniform Building Code as set by
Resolution No. 87/109 adopted on March 3, 1987 .
Robert Giese , Director of Building Inspection, advised
that there were no changes to the Code from the Building Inspection
Department but that the Consolidated Fire District had proposed
changes.
Terry Curtola, representing the Building Industry
Association, commented that the Association is in favor of the adop-
tion of the 1985 Uniform Building Code but expressed concerns and
questions regarding the proposed amendment by Consolidated Fire District.
Nels Carlson, building contractor, President of the
Building Industry Association Commercial/Industrial Council, spoke
in favor of the adoption of the Ordinance and commented on the ratio
of building size and sprinklers.
Supervisor McPeak recommended continuing the hearing to
April 7, 1987 at 10:30 a.m, due to time constraints for the sche-
duled meeting today with Solano County Board of Supervisors.
IT IS BY THE BOARD ORDERED that the hearing on the pro-
posed Ordinance adopting by reference the Uniform Building Code of
1985 is CONTINUED to April 7, 1987 at 10:30 a.m.
