HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 03311987 - 1.58 I.SS� THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA AS THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE HOUSING AUTHORITY Adopted this Order on March 31, 1987 by the following vote: AYES: Commissioners Fanden, Schroder, Torlakson and McPeak NOES: None ABSENT: Commissioner Powers ABSTAIN: None ------------------------------------------------------------------ SUBJECT: Bids for the Housing Authority for Contract for Security Services At El Pueblo, Pittsburg. The Board of Commissioners of the Housing Authority considered the recommendation of the Executive Director of the Housing Authority to award the contract for security services at El Pueblo, Pittsburg to All Pro Security. Supervisor Tom Torlakson advised that several residents in the E1 Pueblo project had expressed concerns relative to the provision of security services. He recommended that the bids be referred back to the Advisory Housing Commission for further review. Victor Westman, County Counsel, commented on the bidding procedure. Perfecto Villarreal, Executive Director of the Housing Authority, commented on the HUD requirements. He explained the bidding process and commented that the staff recommendation was still to award the bid to All Pro Security. On recommendation of Supervisor Torlakson, IT IS BY THE BOARD ORDERED that the bids for the contract for provision of security services at the El Pueblo Housing Project are REFERRED to the Advisory Housing Commission for report back on April 7, 1987. IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that the Executive Director of the Housing Authority is AUTHORIZED to extend the contract with Argus for fifteen days.
