HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 03241987 - S.11 5�1 THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA Adopted this Order on March 24, 1987 , by the following vote: AYES; Supervisors Powers, Fanden, Torlakson, Schroder NOES; None ABSENT; Supervisor McPeak ABSTAIN; None ------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------------ SUBJECT; Appropriations Legislation (HR 2 ) to Provide Funds for the Federal Highway System Supervisor Schroder advised that it was brought to his attention after the agenda had been posted that HR 2 was to be presented to the President for his signature. Supervisor Schroder explained that this Bill would provide funds necessary to continue work on the country' s highway system. He commented on the importance of this legislation and recommended that the Board send a telegram to the President, the County' s Congressional delegation, including U.S. Senators Alan Cranston and Pete Wilson, expressing the Board' s support for HR 2 and urging the President to sign the Bill. IT IS BY THE BOARD ORDERED that the recommendation of Supervisor Schroder is APPROVED and that the Community Development Director is REQUESTED to send the telegram on behalf of the Board. cc: Community Development Director Attn: Robert Chung County Administrator 1 hereby certify that this is a true and correct copy of an action taken and entered on the minutes of the Board of Supervisors on the date shown. ATTESTED: PHIL BATCHELOR, Clerk of the Board of Supervisors and County Administrator By Deputy THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA DATE: March 24, 1987 MATTER OF RECORD ----------------------------------------------------------------- ----------------------------------------------------------------- SUBJECT: Administrative Appeal Hearing Time The Clerk advised the Board that two Administrative Appeals on behalf of the Contra Costa County Building Trades Council were filed relative to the modernization project at USS-POSCO. One appeal received on March 18, 1987 appeals the decision of the Director of Community Development relative to the waiver of a land use permit for the project. The second appeal was received on March 23 , 1987 and appeals the decision of the Building Inspector relative to the issuance of building permits for the project. The Clerk requested guidance from the Board as to the preferable date for hearing these appeals. The Board advised the Clerk that April , 7, 1987 at 10: 30 A.M. would be acceptable for holding the hearings. THIS IS A MATTER FOR RECORD PURPOSES ONLY NO BOARD ACTION TAKEN
