Service Areas R-6 & P-4 ) RESOLUTION NO. 86/413

1. This Resolution is adopted pursuant to the Cortese-Knox Act
(Govt. C. §§56000 - 57550) .
2 . This proposal is for dissolution of the territories described
in Exhibit A, being County Service Areas R-6 and P-4 . ' The reason for
the dissolutions is that the incorporation of the City of Orinda has
resulted in only a small portion of the subject County Service Areas
remaining, and the area that remains does not require nor receive
services from either County Service Areas.
3. This reorganization, consisting of the dissolution of County
Service Areas R-6 and P-4, is subject to the condition that the County
of Contra Costa is designated as the successor .to the two service areas
for the purpose of succeeding to all of the assets, rights, duties,
liabilities and obligations of said County Service Areas .
4 . To the extent any existing bonded debt remains for said
Service Areas, the affected territory may be taxed to retire that debt,
and the regular county assessment roll shall be used for that purpose.
5. This Board hereby finds that the Board of Directors ' of the
Service Arc-as has, by unanimous consent, sought the dissolution of the
Service Areas. This Board further finds that the County Service Areas
are registered voter districts and are now uninhabited.
6. This Board hereby orders the dissolution of County Service
Areas R-6 and P-4 , in accordance with the foregoing and without election.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing is a true and correct copy of
a resolution entered on the minutes of said Board of Supervisors on the date
aforesaid.

DISSOLUTION OF COUNTY SERVICE AREA P-4
EXHIBIT A
Beginning at a point on .the existing boundary of County Service Area P-4, said
point being at the intersection of the center line of Bear Creek Road and the
boundary line of the City of Orinda; thence leaving the boundary line of the
City of Orinda and following along the boundary of County Service Area P-4 in a
general northwesterly, easterly, northeasterly and easterly direction, to the
northeasterly corner of said C.S.A. P-4, said corner being also the northeast
corner of that parcel of land owned by the East Bay Municipal Utility District
indentified .as Assessor' s Parcel No. 365-220-038; thence leaving said northeast
corner and continuing along the boundary of C.S.A. P-4 in a southerly direction,
to a point on the southerly R/W line of Bear Creek Road, said point also being
on the boundary line of the aforesaid City of Orinda; thence following along the
City of Orinda boundary line in a general westerly and southwesterly direction,
to the point of beginning.
