(Attn: Contracts) CC: County Administrator ATTESTED Auditor-Controller PHIL ATCHELOR. CLERK OF THE BOARD OF Contractors SUPERVISORS AND COUNTY ADMINISTRATOR BY DEPUTY M382/7-83 , i Y -2- BACKGROUND On February 11, 1986 the Board of Supervisors decided to continue contracting with the current providers for FY 1986/87. A two-month extension of the contract is necessary because AB 1733 monies are funded as a line-item in the Governor's budget and will not be finalized before the end of this fiscal year. Contracts for FY 1986/87 cannot be executed until we are advised by SDSS of our allocation. Also, the contract format must be modified to meet new State guidelines and must be approved by SDSS before we can initiate the contract process. CONSEQUENCES OF NEGATIVE ACTION These needed services would be terminated causing distress to the clients served and hardship to the contractors involved. REJ/SJ/dc BDorder.2
