HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 05131986 - 1.39 TO: 'Board of Supervisors, Contra Costa County FROM: Phil Batchelor, County Administrator DATE: April 23, 1986 SUBJECT: AMENDMENT TO FACILITY LEASE FOR 640 YGNACIO VALLEY ROAD AND 2020 NORTH BROADWAY, WALNUT CREEK SPECIFIC REQUESTS(S) OR RECOMRENDATION(S) & BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION I. Recommended Action: AUTHORIZE the Chairman of the Board of Supervisors to EXECUTE, on behalf of the County, an Amendment to Facility Lease with Taylor/Zenor Partnership for the premises at 640 Ygnacio Valley Road and 2020 North BrQadway, Walnut Creek, under the terms and conditions more particularly set forth in said Amendment. II. Financial Impact: Payments required are to come from the Courthouse Construction Fund. III. Reasons for Recommendations/Back round: The project involves deferred maintenance and remodeling of the Walnut Creek Court building to provide an additional holding cell which will allow the use of all courtrooms for criminal trials. Under the terms of the lease, the Lessor supplies $300,000 for the remodel and the County provides additional funds. This Amendment raises the County's limit in order to provide enough monies for the remodel in accordance with the construction bid received.
