SUBJECT: Dairy Buy-Out Program
Earlier in the proceedings of this Board of Supervisors,
the County Administrator was authorized to express the concerns
of the Cattlemen' s Association to President Reagan and Senators Pete
Wilson and Alan Cranston relative to the impact of the Dairy Buy-Out
Program on area cattlemen.
On recommendation of Supervisor Torlakson, the County
Administrator is REQUESTED to send copies of correspondence directed
to President Reagan and Senators Wilson and Cranston to the
surrounding Bay Area counties and the cities in Contra Costa County
urging their respective governing bodies to take similar action.
