HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 04011986 - X.21 TO: BOARD OF SUPERVISORS Contra FROM: Supervisor Tom Powers Costa l DATE: April. 1 , 1986 County SUBJECT: County's General Drainage Policy and Fallen Trees Currently in Creeks Throughout Contra Costa County SPECIFIC REQUEST(S) OR RECOMMENDATION(S) & BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION RECOMMENDATION: Refer the cdunty's general drainage policy to the Board of Supervisors ' Finance Committee, the County Administrator and the Contra Costa Flood Control and Water Conservation District, for their review and report back to the :Board� with recommendations as to what program can be effected to eliminate the hazard of fallen trees in creeks thoughout the county and which could be implemented as soon as possible. BACKGROUND: On March 24, 1986, I received a telephone call from a constituent who was seeking assistance with regard to removal of trees which have fallen into San Pablo Creek in E1 Sobrante and which caused flooding and .property damage during recent heavy storms, Such trees are not eligible for removal under the county's general drainage policy as approved by our Board of Supervisors.
