Srisongfa Department 'Personnel Officer r Attached find a P-300 classification questionnaire, transfer request , certification document, and application relative to the above subject employee. We are asking to do the following effective 4/2/86. 1) Reallocate Community Aide position #54-2191 to Public Health Aide. As you know, the Community Aide class is a Welfare Department class and is clearly inappropriate for use in this Department. Your office':sprior audit of the incumbent's duties revealed it . to be properly classified as a Public Health Aide. That conclusion still remains valid. 2) Authorize transfer of the incumbent between the two classes on the basis that they are within 5% at the top step and comparable (both are paraprofessionals in the human service field) . Since the in- cumbent earns $1451 (top step of Community Aide) which is $14/mo higher than the top step of Public Health Aide, authorize the incumbent to be "y" rated at her current salary (no pay reduction) until 7/1/86 at which time she would slot into the new top step of Public Health Aide. The incumbent is agreeable to this "y" rate. 3) Recognizing this transaction will result in removal of a position from Local #535's bargaining unit and adding it to Local #11s bar- gaining unit, it has obvious employee relations implications. How- ever, we both agreed the action is appropriate and you agreed to handle the contact with the two unions when the time comes.
