Box 391 Martinez, CA 94553 RE: Addition of one Deputy Sheriff Position to Lafayette Police Dear Sheriff Rainey: At the February 25, 1986 regular Lafayette City Council meeting, the 1985-86 mid-year budget was discussed and adopted. Included in the budget adjustment was an additional Deputy Sheriff position for the Lafayette Police Department to be effective April 1, 1986. Therefore, it is the City of Lafayette's desire to have the following staffing level effective April 1, 1986: One (1) Lieutenant; Ten (10) Deputy Sheriffs to perform normal patrol functions; One (1) Deputy Sheriff to perform as a Traffic Enforcement Officer Please forward the necessary contract amendments to reflect the additional position at your earliest convenience.
