The Contra Costa County. Board of Supervisors RESOLVES THAT.
1. Authority to Represent in Small •Olaims Court. Pursuant to Code of Civil
Procedure 5117.41, the Director of the Office of Revenue Collection and his/her
designee(s) are hereby authorized to represent the County of Contra Costa in
small claims court in the State of California.'
2. Authority to Compromise Accounts Receivable of Less Than $5,000.00.
Pursuant to Government Code 526220 and County Counsel Opinion 485-62, the Director
of the Office of Revenue Collection and his/her designee(s) are hereby authorized
to adjust and/or compromise any account receivable that is less than $5,000.00,
prior to assigning the account to a collection agency. The maximum allowable
adjustment is 40% of the amount owed.
3. Semi Annual. Reports. The Director of the Office of Revenue Collection
shall give the Board' detailed semi-annual reports of accounts adjusted and
compromised during the previous months.
