S§25210. 32 , (Blackhawk Area ) ) 25210. 33 , 25210. 379 -- 25210. 16) ,...,.....,.---.a..a.--- .. _.. ) 25210. 16) On March 5 , 1986 , the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors received written requests from Supervisors Powers and Schroder , copies of which are attached hereto as Exhibit A, for the commencement of proceedings by the Board for the addition of geologic hazard abatement extended services within County Service Area M-23. i The County Service Area Law (Govt .Code Section 25210. 1 et segue). permits the addition of geologic hazard abatement extended services , to the types of extended services furnished within the M-23 County Service Area . NOW THEREFORE, THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS :' 1 . The Board is of the opinion that it is in the public interest to abate geologic hazards within the M-23 County Service Area and that public convenience and necessity require the addi- tion of ,"geologic hazard abatement" extended services , as defined in Govt .Code Section 25210. 4a (14) , to the types of extended ser- vices authorized to be performed within the M-23 County Service Area . 2. The Board hereby states its intention to authorize the provision of such geologic hazard abatement extended services within the M-23 County Service Area and , pursuant to Govt .Code Section 25210. 32 , further states as follows : i (a ) The name of the area for which the provision of' geologic hazard abatement extended services will be authorized is the M-23 County Service Area . (b ) The territory included in the M-23 County Service Area isigenerally described as the "Blackhawk Project ," and is more particularly described in Exhibit B attached hereto and made a part Hereof . (c ) The additional type of extended services which it is proposed to provide within the M-23 - County Service Area is "geologic hazard abatement ," as defined in Govt .Code .Section 25210. 4a (14) . The addition of such services will not . result in an increase in the taxes currently being levied annually upon all RESOLUTION NO. 86/ 137 taxable property within the M-23 County Service Area for those extendediservi'ces already authorized to be performed within such area . j. (d) The Board hereby fixes April 22, 1986 , at in the Chambers of the Board in the County Administration Building located at 651 Pine Street , Martinez , California , as the time and place for a public hearing before the Board upon the question of providing geologic hazard abatement extended services within the M-23 County Service Area . 3. the Board hereby directs the Clerk of the Board to give notice of the hearing upon the furnishing of geologic hazard aba- tement extended services within the M-23 County Service Area by publishing notice of the hearing pursuant to Govt .Code Section 6061 in the Vallty Pioneer --, a newspaper of general cir- culation � pubT"i-7—hed—i—'n--fli'j—i'-4—oUn—ty.
