HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 03111986 - MR.1 THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA DATE: March 11 , 1986 MATTER OF RECORD SUBJECT: -Contra Costa County Declared Disaster Area Charles Hammond, Chief Deputy County Administrator, announced that Contra Costa County was included in the Federal Disaster Declaration by President Reagan on Friday, March 7, 1986. The declaration allows Federal assistance for damage to both private and public property resulting from heavy rain, flooding and landslides during the period of February 12 through March 1 , 1986 . A Disaster Assistance Center will be set up by the Federal Emergency Management Agency at the Oak Park Center (formerly Oak Park Elementary School) , 1700 Oak Park Blvd. , Pleasant Hill . The Center will be open from 9 :00 A.M. to 6 :00 P.M. on Friday, March 14, and Saturday, March 15, 1986 . Persons who suffered property damage from the storms during the declared disaster period can receive information on assistance, eligibility, and application procedures at the Center on these two days . THIS IS A MATTER FOR RECORD PURPOSES ONLY NO BOARD ACTION TAKEN
